Mike Omotosho: INEC plotting to cause crisis in Labour Party
The factional national chairman of Labour Party, Dr. Mike Omotosho, has said that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is plotting to destabilise the party, foreclosing its chances of emerging as a credible alternative party.
The politician who did not want to be addressed as a factional national chairman said that the national convention of the party in 2017 had removed Adbulkadir Abdulsalam as the national chairman of the party, wondering why INEC had intentionally left his name on the website as the national chairman of the party.
He said, “INEC is working to cause crisis in Labour party. INEC supervised the removal of Abdulsalam as the national chairman of the party in 2017. It has refused to come out to say who the authentic national chairman is, has also intentionally left his (Abdulsalam) name in the website.”
Meanwhile, Alh Abdulkadir Abdulsalam, the national chairman of the party had refuted the claim by Omotosho, saying he remains the authentic chairman of the party.
