Kano APC dismisses ex-TETfund boss for misconduct

The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Bichi local government area has dismissed the former Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETfund) over alleged political misconduct and anti-party.

A dismissal letter dated March 19, 2019, signed by APC Secretary of Bichi ward, Alhaji Shafi’u Bala Dangote, indicated that the dismissal was with immediate effect.

The letter reads in part, “Your last day of membership with All Progressive Congress at Bichi ward was March 19, 2019.”

The letter further indicated that Dr Bichi was accused of sabotaging the APC by an alliance with the gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kano state, Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf.

The letter revealed that Dr Bichi was caught at the residence of PDP gubernatorial candidate sabotaging the APC on the 18th March 2019 as shown in a photograph.

“In accordance with the disciplinary and dismissal procedures, you are entitled to appeal this decision. If you wish to appeal against this disciplinary decision set out above, you may do so by setting out in writing the grounds of your appeal and send it to me by 25th March 2019,” stated the letter.
