Kaduna scholarship board offers job opening

The Executive Secretary of Kaduna State Scholarship and Loans Board, Malam Hassan Rilwan, said that board’s the mandate is to identify, select and empower qualified citizens to meet its current and future manpower requirements.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Executive Secretary emphasised that it is only by recruiting the right calibre of staff that the Board will remain globally competitive and serve Kaduna state better.
‘’Our overall visionis to make Kaduna State a hub and provider of world class human capital. The Board intends to achieve this vision by becoming a transparent leveller and enabler in the provision of scholarships, loans, information and guidance to qualified Kaduna State citizens in order to achieve their full potentials,’’ he said
According to Malam Hassan, the Board is currently undergoing major reforms aimed at strengthening its Compliance, Monitoring and Evaluation, Administration, Information and Communications Technology(ICT) as well as its Grants, Linkages and Resources Mobilisation departments.
The Executive Secretary advised prospective applicants not to look at Kaduna jobs from the stereotypes of civil service.
‘’Different testimonies from students and citizens who have come in contact with the Scholarship and Loans Board can attest to its technology savvy, innovation, transparency and futuristic outlook,’’ he added.
Hassan said that the Board wants to recruit a Deputy Director, Compliance, Monitoring and Evaluation Requirements, who should possess Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Management or Social Sciences, with at least eight years post-qualification cognate experience.
The Executive Secretary said that candidate for the position must have M&E certifications and must be computer literate, adding that a Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
‘’Candidates wishing to apply for the position of Deputy Director of Administration should have aBachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Human Resources management, Business Administration, Social Sciences or a related field . Additional qualifications, preferably a Master’s degree, would be an added advantage,’’ he added.
The statement further said that the candidate should have at least Eight years post-qualification cognate experience and must be computer literate.
Hassan also said that Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in International Affairs, Development, International Political Economy or other relevant subjects is the basic requirement for the post of deputy Director Grants, Linkages and Resource Mobilisation.
‘’A Master’s degree is preferred and at least eight years post-qualification cognate experience working in grants management and proposal, business development, design,’’ he said, adding that ‘’prior knowledge of donor compliance regulations.’’
The Executive Secretary further said that the candidate must have proven record of accomplishment in developing projects, writing proposals and donor reports.
‘’Applicants who are eligible for the post of Deputy Director, ICT must have aBachelor’s Degree in Computer science or engineering or equivalent education and or work experience,’’ he added.
According to Malam Hassan, he or she should have ‘’at least six years post-qualification cognate experience in project management or software development capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.’’
