IGP Appoints DCP Anthony Placid as New Force PRO, Replaces Benjamin Hundeyin
The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has appointed Anthony Placid as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) of the Nigeria Police Force.
Placid, a Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), replaces Benjamin Hundeyin, who previously served as the spokesperson of the force.
The appointment is part of ongoing efforts by the police leadership to strengthen strategic communication and public engagement within the force.
Before his new role, DCP Placid served in various operational and administrative capacities within the Nigeria Police Force and is expected to oversee the Force Public Relations Department, which manages the image and communication activities of the police.
Hundeyin, who had been the face of the police in many national briefings and media engagements, is expected to move to another assignment within the force.
The appointment takes immediate effect.
