Just In: ICPC acknowledges Dangote’s petition against NMDPRA Boss

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has acknowledged receiving a formal petition from the President of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, concerning the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), Alhaji Farouk Ahmed.

The development was confirmed on Tuesday in a statement by the ICPC’s spokesperson, John Okor Odey, who noted that the petition was officially submitted earlier the same day.

According to Odey, the commission has commenced the necessary procedures, assuring that the matter will be thoroughly examined.

“The ICPC wishes to state that the petition will be duly investigated,” he said.

Dangote filed the petition through his legal representative, Dr. O. J. Onoja (SAN).
