I Never Hated Jonathan – Governor Tambuwal

Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, has dismissed claims that he habour hatred for former President Goodluck Jonathan.

 Speaking with reporters in Sokoto, on Sunday, the Governor explained that he only opposed Jonathan due to his policies.

 Tambuwal, who was the Speaker of the House of Representatives during the Jonathan’s administration, was alleged to have been engaged in a feud with the former President after he decamped from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

But, Tambuwal while dismissing the report said, “As the Speaker of the House of Representatives then, I was always raising alarm on the way things were being managed in the country especially lack of prudence, but some people felt that I was against Jonathan.

“I never hated Jonathan as a person but only disagreed with his policies.

 “The recession we are currently facing was as a result of the way the economy was mismanaged by the Goodluck Jonathan administration.”
