I have wronged no one in he senate – Ndume

Suspended Senator representing Borno South, Ali Ndume, on Sunday declared that he did not offend anyone in senate.

Recall that the senate had suspended Ndume for six-month for raising false accusations against the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and Senator representing Kogi West, Dino melaye.

While Saraki was accused of owning a vehicle that was imported with fake documents, the Kogi West Senator was alleged to have forged his degree certificate.

Both men denied the allegations and were cleared by the senate committee on ethics and privileges.

However, addressing his constituents on Sunday, the suspended lawmaker said he preferred to be isolated in the upper chamber than betray Nigerians.

He stressed that his support for the anti-corruption war of President Muhammadu Buhari and his backing of the confirmation of Ibrahim Magu as chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission led to his colleague raising against him.

Ndume said, “As far I am concerned, I wronged no one in the senate and I am not regretting my loyalty and support for President Buhari’s fight against corruption as well as all forms of financial crimes.”
