HOW I ESCAPE FETISH ATTACK WHILE WORKING TOWARDS REALISATION OF JOURNALISTS ESTATE, FUNKE FADUGBA
A two time Chairman of Lagos Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists,(NUJ)Deaconess Funke Fadugba on Sunday narrated how she almost got harmed by spiritual attack while working the reaisation of Journalists Estate located in Arepo along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
She made the revelation at a church service with the theme,’Celebrating God’s Faithfulness’ held at The Apostolic Church Arepo Assembly on her retirement from the media industry,media industry
Fadugba administration as the union chairman initiated and facilitated the establishment of the estate for journalists, which today has become a household name.
Speaking further,the veteran female journalist recalled the juju challenges she face during the time,adding that for God’s gestures she escaped the death threat from enemies who did not want the project to be fruiful.
Fadugba retired as General Manager News at Raypower/Faaji F.M radio station,after spending over three decades in journalism.
Her words, ‘I want give thank to God for saving my life while as chairman of nuj, pursuing the establishment of journalists Estate Arepo, I was attacked with fetish by elements who doesn’t want success of the project’.
Fadugba recalled that,she was openly confronted with juju over the project, but was optimistic that,such threat would be in futility,’because I have trust in God,and here we are today, the estate is enjoying good foundation’
However, at the service number of dignatories who spoke affirmed dogeddness,humility and proactive nature of Fadugba.
