APC Consensus Candidate Presents Nomination Forms to Osoba, Pledges to Sustain Progressive Legacy in Ogun
The All Progressives Congress (APC) consensus candidate for the 2027 Ogun State governorship election has formally presented his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to elder statesman and former governor, Olusegun Osoba, in what he described as a historic step in his political journey.
The presentation took place at Osoba’s residence, where the candidate paid homage to the veteran politician, widely regarded as a leading figure in Nigeria’s progressive movement. Also present was Osoba’s wife, Beere Derinsola Osoba.
During the visit, Osoba reportedly took the candidate through a pictorial archive highlighting the legacy of progressive governors elected in 1999, as well as the enduring influence of late nationalist leader, Obafemi Awolowo.
Describing the moment as significant for Ogun State, the APC flagbearer pledged to uphold and advance the ideals of progressive governance if elected in 2027. He emphasized continuity in policies that promote development and good governance across the state.
The visit was attended by key aides and political associates, including Chief of Staff and Media Adviser, Kayode Odunaro; Hon. Babatunde Olaotan; Special Adviser on New Media, Ojo; Otunba Adeniyi Sanusi; and other supporters.
The candidate also acknowledged the support of Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, as he prepares to officially submit his nomination forms, marking the next phase of his governorship bid.
