Gunmen Attack in Enugu Community Leaves Two Dead, Security Forces Recover Bodies

Troops, working alongside the police and other security agencies, have recovered two bodies after an हमला by suspected gunmen in Igbo Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State.

According to security sources, the incident occurred around 2:25 a.m. on April 6, 2026, when personnel of Sector 1, Operation UDO KA, responded to a distress call over reported gunshots in Umufu village.

Upon arrival, the joint security team found two victims who had been killed during the attack. A motorcycle was also recovered at the scene.

The bodies were subsequently evacuated to a nearby mortuary, while authorities have launched an investigation to uncover the circumstances behind the нападение and identify those responsible.

Security has since been strengthened in the area to prevent further attacks and reassure residents.
