Former PDP Chairman, Audu Ogbeh dies at 78

Former Minister of Agriculture and one-time National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Audu Ogbeh, has passed away at the age of 78.

His family announced his death in a statement on Saturday, expressing deep sorrow over the loss of their “beloved husband, father, and grandfather.”

According to the statement, Ogbeh died peacefully on August 9, 2025, after a life marked by “integrity, service, and dedication to our nation and community.”

The family noted that they take comfort in the countless lives he touched and the inspiring example he set.

Funeral arrangements, they said, will be shared at a later date, while appealing for privacy as they mourn their patriarch.

They also extended gratitude to friends, colleagues, and well-wishers for their prayers and support.
