Filling Stations to Dispense Petrol at N739 From Tuesday — Dangote

Petrol prices across Nigeria are set to drop to N739 per litre from Tuesday, according to Aliko Dangote, President of the Dangote Group.

Dangote disclosed this while speaking on efforts to stabilise fuel supply and pricing following the commencement of large-scale production at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery.

He said the price reduction is aimed at easing the burden on Nigerians and ensuring more affordable access to Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) nationwide.

According to him, the new price regime will apply at filling stations supplied with products from the Dangote Refinery, adding that the move aligns with the company’s commitment to supporting the federal government’s economic reforms and cushioning the impact of fuel costs on households and businesses.

Dangote noted that local refining has significantly reduced reliance on imported petrol, lowered logistics costs, and helped moderate price volatility caused by foreign exchange fluctuations and global oil market shocks.

Industry analysts say the announced price could bring relief to motorists and transport operators, who have grappled with high fuel costs in recent months.

However, they note that the actual pump price across the country may still vary slightly depending on distribution, location, and marketers’ margins.

As of the time of filing this report, regulatory authorities and major petroleum marketers had yet to issue official statements confirming implementation details ahead of Tuesday.
