The United States Consulate General in Lagos has announced a pre-departure orientation session for Nigerian students who have been issued valid U.S. student visas.

According to the consulate, the session is designed to prepare students for academic life, cultural adjustment, and living conditions in the United States ahead of their departure.

The orientation is scheduled to hold on Thursday, December 18, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will provide participants with essential information on studying in the U.S., maintaining visa status, campus life, and available support services.

The consulate noted that the initiative underscores its commitment to supporting Nigerian students as they transition into the U.S. education system and encouraging a smooth and successful study experience.
