Fani-Kayode Congratulates New Police IGP, Praises Disu’s Leadership Qualities

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has congratulated Olatunji Rilwan Disu on his appointment as the new Inspector-General of the Nigeria Police Force.

In a message shared on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Fani-Kayode described Disu as a “brilliant writer and artist” as well as a “formidable intellectual,” noting that his professional qualities set him apart for the top policing role.

He further commended the new IGP as a focused, effective, and fair-minded officer with a sharp eye for law enforcement, expressing confidence in his ability to lead the force at a critical time.

“I am so proud of you, my brother. May God guide and lead you in this great assignment which has been bestowed upon you at this auspicious time. Godspeed,” he wrote.
