N-Youth s, Ezechukwu’s Blistering 9.81s Anchor Leg Sends Nigeria Into World U20 4x100m Final

Nigeria’s women’s 4x100m relay team has secured a place in the final of the World U20 Championships in Eugene after a sensational comeback powered by Miracle Ezechukwu.

Nigeria appeared set to miss out on the automatic qualifying spots after entering the final stretch in fourth position.

However, Ezechukwu produced a stunning 9.81-second anchor split, dramatically moving Nigeria from fourth to third and snatching the final automatic qualifying place.

The Nigerian quartet of Lucy Nwankwo, Chigozie Rosemary Nwankwo, Tejiri Ugoh and Ezechukwu crossed the finish line in 43.65 seconds.

Their time was enough to edge the United States and secure Nigeria’s passage into the women’s 4x100m final.
