Abiodun Hails APC Chairman Yilwatda at 58

…Says Leadership Will Boost Party’s 2027 Chances

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has congratulated the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, on his 58th birthday, describing him as a strategic and focused leader capable of strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Abiodun, in a congratulatory message signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Kayode Akinmade, said Yilwatda had demonstrated political maturity, courage and administrative capacity since assuming leadership of the ruling party.

The governor said the APC under Yilwatda had continued to strengthen its structures, promote internal cohesion and position itself for further electoral victories across the country.

He described the national chairman as a dependable party administrator and grassroots-oriented politician whose commitment to unity and inclusiveness would contribute to the continued growth of the APC.

According to Abiodun, the party’s objective should go beyond winning elections to building a strong, united and responsive political organisation capable of addressing the aspirations of Nigerians.

He expressed confidence that the APC’s electoral record and growing acceptance across the country had provided a strong foundation for the party to consolidate its position as Nigeria’s leading political platform.

“Your 58th birthday provides another opportunity to celebrate your contributions to the growth and consolidation of our great party.

“Since assuming the leadership of our party, you have demonstrated courage, humility, political maturity and a clear understanding of the responsibility entrusted to you,” Abiodun said.

The governor stressed that the APC needed strong leadership capable of uniting members, strengthening party structures and mobilising supporters ahead of the 2027 elections.

He expressed confidence that under Yilwatda’s leadership, the party would consolidate its achievements, expand its electoral frontiers and renew Nigerians’ confidence in its progressive agenda.

Abiodun also commended the APC chairman for strengthening the relationship between the party leadership and members at various levels, noting that a strong political party was essential to the success and sustainability of democratic governance.

He said Yilwatda’s experience and political ingenuity would help the APC win more states, expand its national reach and secure victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other party candidates in the 2027 elections.

The governor prayed for Yilwatda to enjoy many more years of good health, wisdom and strength in his service to the party and the nation.
