Exclusive: House leader, Gbajabiamila urges APC to give automatic tickets to Lawmakers

The Leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, has urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) to give automatic tickets to members in the green chamber ahead of the 2019 elections.

The lawmaker, who led other colleagues to a meeting with the APC leadership at the party’s secretariat in Abuja, asked the leadership to consider giving them automatic tickets as reward for their loyalty.

Sources close to the meeting informed that idea was seen as good by the party Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole and other APC leaders.

This idea according to analyst may cause crisis in the camp of those have left the party, because their main grouse is return ticket.

This idea might as well have been passed to other senators who held a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari Wednesday night, hence the sudden U-turn of some senators who had earlier defected.

At the meeting of APC senators Buhari yesterday some of the them that were mention to have defected attended the meeting, Senators like Lanre Tejuoso, Shehu Sani, Senator Akinlabi all beaming with smile.

The meeting is still on going.
