Breaking: Buhari Minister declares interest in 2027 Presidency on ADC platform
A former Minister of State for Education under the late President Muhammadu Buhari has declared his intention to contest the next presidential election on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The declaration marks the former minister’s formal entry into the 2027 presidential race, positioning him among emerging aspirants seeking to challenge the dominance of Nigeria’s major political parties.
Before his ministerial appointment, he served as a member of the House of Representatives and later chaired the Board of Trustees of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), where he was involved in policy and funding oversight for Nigeria’s higher education sector.
The aspirant is a legal practitioner with strong academic credentials. He holds a PhD in Law and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1989, combining decades of experience in public service, legislation, and legal practice.
Further details on his declaration, campaign agenda, and official unveiling by the ADC are expected to be announced in the coming days.
