EU countries take tough stand on illegal migrant

Barely a month after a number of Nigerian migrants were deported from Germany to Nigeria, another batch of Nigerian migrants living illegally in Germany are expected to touch down at Murtala Muhammed International Airport later today.

Journalist Against Human Trafficking and Irregular Migration (JAHTIM) can authoritatively report that German authority have in the past couple of months been picking migrants whose asylum application have been rejected and their appeal failed to enable them continue living in Germany for deportation.

German immigration and police authorities have stepped up random arrest of migrants from asylum camps and working places from where the illegal migrants were taken to deportation arena within Frankfurt Airport at Frankfurt city. An illegal migrant brought to this airport arena can remain here for couple of days or weeks before his flight back to his or her native country.

Meanwhile, all other European Union (EU) nations have taken tough stand on irregular migration and migrants entering their country to seek asylum. Italy started the campaign against these acts in 2017 and supported by Germany.

As at the time of filing this report, more than 500 people who are African migrants that got stranded in Libya during their irregular migration to Europe were stucked on rescue boats in the Mediterranean sea having nowhere to disembark. Italy, Greece and Malta that used to allow rescue boats to land for the migrants to disembark have refused the boats to anchor.

Statistics show that since Italian Deputy Prime Minister, Matteo Salvini in 2017 ordered Italian police and  immigration authorities not to allow migrants to gain entry into the country, arrival of irregular migrants have fallen by nearly 80 percent.
