Dr. Adebayo Becomes Registrar FCE Abeokuta, After 14 Years As Deputy Registrar

After twenty eight years of meritorious service, the Management of Federal College of Education (FCE), Osiele, Abeokuta has appointed Dr. Gabriel Adedayo Adebayo as the substantive Registrar of the College.
His elevation to this apex position came into reality barely fourteen years after he rose to the position of Deputy Registrar of the College in the year 2006.
Bola Adesina, Director of Information, FCE disclosed this in a press release issued to journalists in Abeokuta on Wednesday, stating that Dr. Adebayo appointment takes effect from March 2nd, 2020, and it is for a term of five years in the first instance.
The Director noted that the highly cerebral and quite intelligent Dr. Adebayo is a full blown alumnus of the prestigious University of Ibadan, where had his First Degree, Masters’ Degree and Ph.D in Sociology as well as another Masters’ Degree in Industrial and Labour Relations (MILR), all from same institution.
Furthermore, he affirmed that his career with the Federal College of Education as Administrative Officer II commenced in the year 1992, and by the grace of God, with lots of hard work, devotion and dedication, he rose to the position of a Deputy Registrar in the year 2006.
“However, before this well deserved appointment, he was Deputy Registrar, Junior Staff Establishment (2006-2009), Council Affairs (2009-2017) and Records and Scholarship Division of the Registry in the College (2017- 2020).
“Dr Adebayo has thirty four publications including journal articles and chapters in books. He has attended well over twenty – nine conferences and workshops within and outside the country.
“A fellow of the very distinctive Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), Dr Adebayo is also a Fellow Chartered Institute of Public Diplomacy and Management; Fellow, Certified Board of Administrators of Nigeria; Fellow, Institute of Corporate Administration and Member, Association of University Administrators (United Kingdom). 
“He has several commendations, awards and distinctions to his credit. He is the current President of Rotary Club of Obantoko, District 9110 Nigeria.
“Dr. Adedayo is a swift and energetic volleyball player, won many medals and awards spanning through his undergraduate years in UI and during the Colleges of Education games in Nigeria,” he stated.
