Diri: Joining APC is in Bayelsa’s best interest

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has said that his decision to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC) was made in the best interest of the state, saying someone had to take the decision and he took it on behalf of Bayelsans.

Speaking at the 14th Bayelsa Thanksgiving Day in Igbogene, Yenagoa, on Sunday, Diri explained that while some persons might not understand his decision now, it would become clear with time that his reasons were altruistic.
