Dangote Truck, Jeep Plung Into River In Ogun Road Crash

A major and serious accident occured Saturday along Ijebu-Ode/Benin expressway as a Dangote truck and CRV Jeep car plunged into a river
The Commander of Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, Seni Ogunyemi who confirmed this said,the two vehicles which number plates were yet to be ascertain plunged into Omo river in Area J4 along the road.
Ogunyemi added that the auto crash occurred as a result of overspeeding, stating that as at the time of filing this report, it was yet to be ascertain number of casualties.
The traffic said ,efforts were ongoing with combined team of police,road safety corps, security defence corps and his traffic team to recovered the vehicles and victims.
He further added that,as part of rescue mission,crane from Julius Berger and local divers were also on ground to recover the victims.
Ogunyemi spoke further saying that traffic has been diverted and closely monitored by team on ground.
