CSO Coalition Tasks Judiciary On National Security
The coalition of human rights and good governance which made the observation during a media briefing on the incessant killings of Nigerians, expressed concerns about how such cases were being handled in the country.
The coalition insists that the senseless killings of innocent people across Nigeria will greatly reduce if the judiciary does the needful by meting out stiffer penalties to all persons found culpable in the dastardly acts.
According to the group, if the senate president, Bukola Saraki, could be summoned by the police and given 48 hours to answer on the Offa robbery incident, then no other Nigerian should be shielded from responding to allegations when invited by law enforcement agencies.
