By ABIODUN JIMOH, ABEOKUTA
Corporate organisations across Ogun State have been charged to decontaminate their premises as business activities are about to resume.
With the gradual easing of Covid 19 lockdown in the Gateway State, organisations such as banks, industries, large and small scale enterprises in the state are to adhere strictly to this warning to safeguard the health of their customers against the deadly coronavirus pandemic that has killed thousands of lives globally.
Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Abiodun Abudu-Balogun made this plea in a statement signed and made available to newsmen in Abeokuta on Sunday, stating that it has become necessary due to large volume of customers and visitors that enter their premises for transactions purposes.
Also, he notes that this would complement the state government’s efforts at flattening the spread of the pandemic in the state.
The commissioner while thanking them for their support to the Prince Dapo Abiodun led government and their host communities through donation of medical interventions and palliatives, he said they would complete the circle of war against Covid 19 by decontaminating their premises to help stop the spread of the pandemic.
Abudu-Balogun also urged them to enforce government directives on the pandemic at their premises through wearing of face masks by their workers and visitors, keep social distancing and provision of hand washing materials and sanitizers.
Similarly, he advised them to feel free to contact the ministry for assistance in decontaminating their premises and general environment if need be, so that together the coronavirus scourge can be defeated in state.
