CAIDOV Unveils Justice Watch to Investigate Injustice, Domestic Violence

The Centre Against Injustice and Domestic Violence (CAIDOV) has unveiled its news and advocacy arm, CAIDOV Justice Watch, to investigate cases of injustice, expose domestic violence and amplify the voices of vulnerable Nigerians.
The Executive Director of CAIDOV, Comrade Gbenga Soloki, announced the launch in Lagos, describing the new initiative as a platform to bridge the gap between victims of injustice and the public through investigative journalism and community advocacy.
Soloki said the initiative was established following years of intervention by the organisation in cases of domestic violence and injustice, noting that many victims continued to suffer because their experiences were not brought to public attention.
“For years, CAIDOV as an NGO has been intervening in cases of domestic violence and injustice. But we discovered that injustice thrives in silence. Many victims suffer because no one hears them.
“CAIDOV Justice Watch is now our loudspeaker — our media arm to investigate, expose, and publish cases of oppression until justice is served,” he said.
The executive director explained that CAIDOV would remain the parent non-governmental organisation responsible for fighting injustice and domestic violence, while CAIDOV Justice Watch would focus on media coverage, investigative reporting and public advocacy.
He added that the news arm would deploy its press team to places where alleged injustices occur, including police stations, homes and communities, to document cases and bring them to public attention.
According to him, the initiative will investigate and report domestic violence, expose alleged police brutality, landlord harassment and the oppression of vulnerable people, while ensuring that victims’ concerns receive adequate attention.
Soloki said CAIDOV Justice Watch would also follow up reported cases from the initial complaint to their resolution and promote accountability among individuals and institutions in positions of authority.
He called on Nigerians experiencing domestic violence or any form of injustice to contact the organisation’s justice desk for intervention.
The organisation also invited members of the public to support its work as volunteers, pro-bono lawyers, counsellors, donors and media partners.
Members of the public seeking assistance or wishing to collaborate with the organisation can reach CAIDOV Justice Watch through its email, caidovjusticewatch@gmail.com, or hotline, 08027829888.
Soloki reaffirmed the mission of the new media platform, declaring: “We must not allow impunity unchecked in our clime.”
CAIDOV is a registered non-governmental organisation in Nigeria focused on addressing injustice and domestic violence through interventions and advocacy.
