Burglars Broke Into Deputy Chief Of Staff’s Office

Unknown burglars on Wednesday broke into the office of the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor Bayelsa State governor, Seriake Dickson, Mrs. Ebiz Ndiomu-Brown and carted away some confidential files.

The office of the Deputy Chief of Staff is just three offices away from that of the governor himself after that of the chief of staff.

Tension and fear, according to our source, have gripped all those who work in the governor’s office, which that of the deputy chief of staff is a part of as scores of suspected security men and civilians have been arrested and taken away.

“Tension is in the air o. Some people broke into our Oga office (Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor) last Wednesday. They have arrested some people and the arrest is still on going…nobody knows who is next….so we are living in a state of fear,” the source said.

The Deputy Chief of Staff is the daughter of the late Gen. Charles Ndiomu. She came to government of Dickson as the DG of the Bayelsa State Tourism Board from where she was catapulted to her present post.

As the DG of the tourism board, she organised the highly successful first Bayelsa Jazz Festival that featured the late Hugh Masekela and Nigeria’s Femi Anikulapo-Kuti including a fashion and beauty pageant shows. That was how she wormed her way into the governor’s heart.
As at the time of filling this report, the state government is yet to make any pronouncement on the issue.
