Breaking: Vigilantes repel church attack in Egbe, Kogi State

Armed bandits attempted to attack a church behind Ayhsat Hotel in Egbe, Kogi State, in the early hours of this morning.

The local vigilantes acted swiftly, successfully repelling the assailants. An anonymous source confirmed that the vigilantes pursued the attackers following the failed attempt.

This latest incident comes on the heels of a more severe attack earlier today, 30th November 2025, on a Cherubim and Seraphim church in Ejiba, Yagba West Local Government Area. During that attack, the pastor, popularly known as Orlando, along with an unconfirmed number of worshippers, were reportedly kidnapped.

Communities in the region remain on high alert as security concerns continue to rise.
