Breaking: Police carted away 2017 Budget from Goje’s House – National Assembly

The National Assembly on Wednesday disclosed that the Nigerian Police Force carted away documents that would have facilitated the passage of the 2017 budget during the raid on Senator Danjuma Goje’s residence.
The Police had on April 20, 2017 raided the Abuja residence of Senator Goje.
The raid lasted for about four hours.
Several files and laptops were taken away.
At plenary on Wednesday, Senator Goje came through a Point of Order on the floor to complain of how the police traumatised his family during the operation.
He added that many files that are important to early passage of the 2017 Budget were taken away by the Police during the operation.
The same motion on the raid of Goje’s residence was also sponsored in the House of Representatives by Hon. Abubakar Ahmad.
