Breaking: NNPP Presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso picks Bishop Isaac Idahosa as running mate
The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, its has allegedly chosen a Lagos-based cleric, Bishop Isaac Idahosa as his running mate.
This is according to a tweet made by the NNPP campaign organisation on Thursday, July 14, 2022.
The development is coming two days before July 17 deadline given by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for parties to submit names of 2023 presidential candidates.
The former Kano state governor, Kwankwaso arrived at this decision following his failure to persuade Peter Obi, a fellow presidential candidate of Labour Party and former governor of Anambra.
Bishop Isaac Idahosa, an indigene of Edo State, is the senior pastor of God First Ministry, popularly known as Illumination Assembly, Lekki Light Centre (LLC), Ajah, Lagos. He is also a gospel singer, writer, and motivational speaker.
Bishop Idahosa, who is otherwise called ‘Prophet Talk Na Do’ by his followers, was born in the predominantly Muslim north, precisely in Minna, Niger State, but reverted to Christianity in 1979.
