BREAKING: Marine police recovers body of doctor who jumped into Lagos lagoon……body not my son, doctor’s mother tells police

Marine police, on Monday recovered a body suspected to be the corpse of a medical doctor, who jumped into the lagoon on Third Mainland Bridge, Allwell Orji, has been recovered.
A source who spoke with Punch disclosed that the body suspected to be Orji’s body was recovered at about 11.30am and his mother has been called upon to identify the body.
“The body of the doctor was found at about 11.30am. We want to be double sure and his parent has been called to come and identify the body,” the source said.
Reports had on Sunday reported that Orji committed suicide on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.
The doctor was said to have asked his driver to park after receiving a call and jumped into the lagoon.
But in a twist of event the mother of Dr. Allwell Orji, who jumped into the Lagos Lagoon on the Third Mainland Bridge, said the body recovered by marine policemen was not that of her son.
The spokesperson for the Zone 2 Police Command, SP Dolapo Badmos said, “The mother has come to identify the body recovered, but she said the deceased was not her son.”
