BREAKING: Jonathan speaks proudly of his love for Nigerian women and women worldwide
In accordance with the celebration of women globally, former ;president of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has made a very important speech on the roles and importance of women to human kind.
In a statement made on Facebook, Jonathan extoled women for their great contributions to humanity and made special recognition of his lovely mother and wife great wife (Mrs. Eunice Jonathan to my dear wife, Dame Patience Jonathan).
The statement reads thus: “On this International Women’s Day, I wish to convey to the women of the world, and especially to the women of my home country, Nigeria, that you are the essential ingredient in success, whether for a home or community or a nation.
There can be a house without a woman, but there cannot be a home without one.
There can be a country without a woman, but there cannot be a nation without women.
Nothing great can be done without a woman and that is why I salute you all beginning from my mother, Mrs Eunice Jonathan to my dear wife, Dame Patience Jonathan and to all the beautiful, hardworking and enterprising women of Nigeria.”
