Breaking #2019Debate: Peter Obi, Osinbajo differ over free trade zone

The signing of free trade zone agreement between African countries got different opinions from the Vice Presidential Candidates of the All Progressives Congress and Peoples Democratic Party, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and Peter Obi respectively.
While Osibanjo said the government is currently consulting with private sectors and professional business bodies, Peter Obi said the stage of consultation is outdated.
Osibanjo said: “We are currently consulting. The consultation should have been done during the PDP regime when the negotiation started. We are trying to work against the fears that Nigeria could be a dumping ground.”
The debate is being organised by the Nigerian Elections Debate Group (NEDG) and the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria (BON).
With this, the presidential candidates expected at the debate are Atiku Abubakar, Muhammadu Buhari, Oby Ezekwesili, Fela Durotoye and Kingsley Moghalu.
Omoyele Sowore of the African Alliance Congress; Donald Duke of the Social Democratic Party; Tope Fasua, and a host of others were excluded.
The organiser said the presidential debate will hold on Saturday, January 19, 2019.
