APC Accuses ADC Of Owing Staff Salaries
…Urges Nigerians To Reject Atiku
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council has accused the African Democratic Congress (ADC) of owing its staff more than 12 months’ salaries, urging Nigerians to reject the party and its candidates in the 2027 general elections.
The council also accused former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and ADC National Secretary Rauf Aregbesola of having poor records in workers’ welfare, arguing that the party could not be trusted to govern Nigeria if it failed to meet its obligations to its employees.
The allegations were contained in a statement issued on Monday by Dele Alake, spokesperson for the APC Presidential Campaign Council.

The council alleged that the ADC National Working Committee, led by Senator David Mark as chairman and Aregbesola as secretary, had neglected the welfare of party staff for over a year.
It described the alleged non-payment of salaries as unacceptable, arguing that workers who depend on their earnings for daily survival should not be subjected to prolonged hardship.
The APC council further questioned the ADC’s credibility, saying the development contradicted the party’s promises to Nigerians.
It also alleged that employees of Atiku’s Gotel Communication and other businesses had previously experienced months of unpaid salaries and staged protests over outstanding wages and benefits.
On Aregbesola, the council criticised his eight-year tenure as governor of Osun State, alleging that his administration’s handling of state finances resulted in delayed salary payments, including quarter and half salaries for workers.
It further accused the former governor of leaving pensioners without their full entitlements for more than four years.
The APC council said the allegations reinforced its position that the ADC and its leaders could not be trusted to manage the country’s affairs.
It urged Nigerian workers and voters to reject the ADC, Atiku and the party’s candidates in the 2027 elections.
According to the council, a political party seeking to govern Nigeria must demonstrate its commitment to workers’ welfare and responsible financial management by meeting its obligations to its own workforce.
The allegations were made by the APC Presidential Campaign Council in its statement dated October 26, 2026. The statement did not include a response from the ADC or the individuals accused.
