AMOSUN ADMITS SUPREMACY OF ANTI-ROBBERY SQUAD ON CRIME FIGHTING IN OGUN
Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State has admitted the supremacy and competence of Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad,(FSARS),in keeping the state more conducive for residents.
Amosun who spoke on Tuesday also confessed that, the diminutive stature of the squad leader, Uba Adams had earlier made him lose confidence on the team but had been proved wrong with the performances of the squad boss and his team.
He confirmed this while seeing off the Assistant Inspector General of Police,Zone 2,Adamu Ibrahim who came on a courtesy call to him in office,Abeokuta, where he sighted and singled out Uba and his team for job well done in the state in the recent time
The governor disclosed that, initially when Uba was posted to the state and saw his diminutive stature, he had written off the squad, but was proved wrong after some time when he started seeing competence of the squad in bursting crimes in the state and environs.
He said,’When I first saw the stature of the o/c anti-robbery squad, I never think of any positive results coming from squad in fighting crime in the state,but I have been proved wrong,because the squad has been performing wonderfully well under Uba’s leadership’.
Amosun while speaking further said, he can vouch for the competence of the squad, in reference to tremendous achievements been recorded by the squad, with good fight against crimes and criminal in the state.
