2027: Shettima Lists Tinubu’s Projects, Seeks Renewed APC Mandate

Vice-President Kashim Shettima has highlighted the Tinubu administration’s infrastructure and education projects, urging voters in Kaduna State to renew the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s mandate in the 2027 general elections.

Shettima made the appeal on Saturday during the kickoff of the APC presidential campaign in Kaduna, where he defended the administration’s record and called for continued support for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani.

He said the APC had worked to keep Nigeria united and prevent the economy from collapsing, attributing the administration’s progress to cooperation among its leaders.

“We have been able to keep this country together and defy the predictions of those who forecasted the implosion of our economy simply because we work together,” the vice-president said.

Shettima also highlighted education projects in Kaduna, including the Federal University of Applied Sciences in Kachia, the transition of the Federal College of Education in Zaria and state vocational institutes in Rigachukun, Soba and Samaru Kataf.

According to him, the vocational institutes have produced more than 4,000 graduates, while the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has provided funding for hundreds of thousands of students in universities.

He urged Kaduna residents to support the APC for another term, arguing that the party’s record in education and development justified its request for renewed electoral support.

The vice-president also listed major infrastructure projects across northern Nigeria, including the Ajaokuta–Kaduna–Kano gas pipeline, Kano–Maradi railway, Lagos–Kano rail corridor and Abuja–Kaduna–Kano road.

He added that work was progressing on the Sokoto–Badagry highway, which he said would expand opportunities for agricultural production across the country.

On Kaduna’s political and social development, Shettima said the APC-led administration had promoted unity and sought to ensure that residents across the state benefited from democratic dividends.

He cited the relationship between communities in southern and northern Kaduna as an example of the administration’s efforts to foster unity.

The vice-president further described Tinubu as a leader who had consistently identified with northern Nigeria over the years, urging residents to consider the president’s longstanding relationship with the region.

Shettima said the APC was seeking renewed mandates for its candidates at all levels, calling on supporters to sustain the party’s leadership in Kaduna State and at the federal level.
