200 stakeholders to participate at APSON NEC meeting, retreat
ABIODUN JIMOH, BENIN CITY
The maiden inaugural National Executive Council (NEC) meeting and Retreat of the Association of Private School Owners (APSON) will commence in Benin City, Edo State Capital on Tuesday with over 200 stakeholders in the educational sector are expected to attend the event.
The three days programme which will be co-hosted by Edo and Delta States will feature induction of officers, and attract parents, delegates from the business, academia, and politics including the Civil society organizations (CSO) and the media.
According to a statement by the National President of the Association, Bishop Godly Opukeme, and made available to journalists in Benin City stated that Prof. Dosu Malomo, the Acting Dean of students affairs, Federal University, Oye-Ekiti in Ekiti State, would deliver a lecture titled ‘Sustaining the vision and mission of private School education in contemporary Nigeria on Wednesday.
Furthermore, Bishop Opukeme noted that those to attend the programme are not limited to Board of Trustee members, NEC members, states chairmen and secretaries as well as elders forum. Others are Edo State Commissioner for Education, Mr. Emmanuel Agbale and members of National and States House of Assembly.
He hereby remarked that at the end of the retreat, a Communique would be issued after deliberations by all the stakeholders.
