10-year-old Chrisland pupil allegedly raped by classmates suspended

A 10-year-old pupil allegedly ganged-raped by her classmates during the World School Games held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates between March 10 and 13, 2022 has been suspended by her school, Chrisland.

Ubi Franklin, a music executive, revealed this development in a series of tweets via his Twitter handle.

Franklin revealed that the young Nigerian girl who is the daughter of his friend was selected to represent her school in a sporting game in Dubai.

He added that while at the competition, the girl was raped, videotaped and the video was posted on Instagram a month ago.

“Consequently (name withheld) is hereby placed on indefinite suspension until you as the parents ensure that she is punished, adequately counselled, and rehabilitated,” the school said.

This incident is coming up weeks after Sylvester Oromoni, a 12-year-old, died under controversial circumstances at Dowen College, another elite school in Lagos State.
