YPP Challenge Other Political Parties On Humanity

The Young Progressive Party (YPP)  in commemoration of it’s 2nd year anniversary reached out to  the Internally Displaced Person’s (IDP) from Gwoza in Borno and Adamawa states with relief materials on Friday at the IDP camp in new kuchingoro at federal Capital Territory Abuja.

Speaking at the event, National Chairman of the party,  Comrade Emmanuel Bishop Amachree said in consolidating the YPP  ideology which is service to humanity they are touched by the calibre of people in the camp.
He also stated that the function of political parties should not just be restricted to electioneering season alone.
Amachree reiterated that IDP camps should be the area of concentration. ” We have come to identify with our fellow citizens who have found themselves in this kind of predicament. The Government must earnestly look into their plight since they are also humans , and the disparity should not be so wide”
He prayed the government to come to their aid and not just provide shelter , but also touching their lives and co-opting them into the society for productivity.
“It is the intention of the YPP to sustain it’s humanitarian act, there will be no retreat, it is an ongoing programme.”
The chairman called on YPP nationwide to emulate what they are doing, and not only IDP camps ,also hospital’s, prisons and others. He said the YPP is coming with a lot of dynamism into the Polity and it is a new dawn in the Nigeria politics.
Responding, manager of the IDP camp Mr Philemon Emmanuel said they have been living in the camp since 2014 . adding that major support’s came from churches, mosque, non Governmental Organisations and individuals.
The camp has a manager office,a skill acquisition centre , boreholes and school donated by the High Commission Of South Africa. And a clinic by the German Embassy.”
The camp has a population of about one thousand five hundred and seventy three people, comprising of  287 women, 526 children and the rest are men. They have about 37 graduates’ who volunteered to teach in the school.
