Wike arrives Dubai for 2025 Asia Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors’ Forum
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, is participating in the 2025 Asia Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors’ Forum (2025APCS) holding in Dubai this week.
The Minister’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, disclosed this in a statement released on Monday in Dubai.
Wike, who departed Abuja on Sunday, arrived in the United Arab Emirates at about 4 a.m. on Monday. He was received by Nigeria’s Consul General in Dubai, Ambassador Zayyanu Ibrahim, alongside senior officials of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) who had arrived earlier.
Those on the delegation include the Acting Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Engr. Richard Yunana Dauda; Senior Special Assistant to the Minister on Legal and Multilateral Cooperation, Benedict Daudu; Director of Development Control, Mukhtar Galadima; Director of Engineering Services, Engr. Chuks Udeh; and Director of Protocol, Sani Musa Daura.
Wike is scheduled to lead a discussion panel on Tuesday morning, where he will respond to questions about the FCT and engage with mayors and city leaders from across the world.
According to the organizers, the 2025APCS aims to create lasting value for cities and businesses pursuing trade and investment prospects across the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Africa, and South Asia regions.
The summit, initiated by the Brisbane City Council in Australia, brings together mayors, city leaders, business executives, and young professionals in one of the most diverse global gatherings for urban development and collaboration.
