Wike Aide Pays 380k Debt Owed By Dele Momodu, Atiku Campaign Committee Director
Mr. Olalere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and Social Media to the Federal Minister, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike has offset part of the debt that Director of Atiku Campaign Committee, Dele Momodu was owing Black Diamond Kitchen Services.
It could be recalled that the Abuja based Black Diamond Kitchen Services in a viral video released on Thursday accused Momodu, former director of the Atiku Campaign Committee in 2022 of owing the company a sum of N380,000 for supplying small chops and provide other services in Abuja.
The viral video released by Ifeoma Obu, staff of Black Diamond Kitchen who handled the business transaction but has since relocated to her village due to the pressure from her boss has generated lot of different views.
However, in what could be seeing as an embarrassment on the part of Momodu, a veteran journalist, FCT minister aide, Olayinka hereby transferred the sum of N200,000 to Samson Adura Ayinde, the company owner at exactly 9:23 pm on Thursday night to salvage the situation.
While he also promised to pay the remaining N180,000 to the company by next week if Momodu did not pay, so as to clear his name from Black Diamond Kitchen’s book of debtors.
“In 2022, during the Presidential Election Campaign, Egbon Dele Momodu contracted Black Diamond Kitchen to supply small chops and provide other services worth N380,000
“Dele Momodu was Director of Strategic Communications of the Atiku Campaign Committee. According to this staff of Black Diamond Kitchen, Ifeoma Obu, the small chops was needed for a political event.
“Black Diamond Kitchen supplied the Small Chops, and provided waiters that served the food at the event, but up till today, Dele Momodu has not paid.
“Because of debts from people like Dele Momodu, that small food business of Samson Ayinde has collapsed. Ifeoma Obu, the staff of Black Diamond Kitchen, who handled the business transaction has also relocated to the village.
“Well, I have paid N200,000 out of the N380k brother Dele Momodu is owing for service rendered, remaining N180k. I hope he pays the balance, but if by this time next week, the debt is still not paid, I will help him to pay so as to clear his name from Black Diamond Kitchen’s book of debtors. Ko ju bee lo,” he said.
Meanwhile, in his response, Momodu explained that he never contracted anybody to transact business with Black Diamond Kitchen Services in 2022 to supply small chops and other services as claimed not to talk of owing the outfit the sum of N380,000.
He added that he has never met such a person or visited any Black Diamond Kitchen in Abuja or its environs as alleged.
He said: “If Black Diamond Kitchen claims I am owing them, the company should go to court. They are just trying to scandalise my name for nothing sake. The only Black Diamond I know is owned by Eko Hotels, the Chagourys. The person saying that is having mental issues.
“How can I have staff yet be contracting somebody. I have never done that in my life. How can I be owing N380,000, it is insulting as the Director of Strategic Communications of the Atiku.”
