WHEN PILOT HOOKS ACCOUNTANT
Dateline:Saturday July 1,2017 and venue was Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pillar of the Truth situated at 3 Chuma Nwosu Avenue, off cooperative villa road,Ajah, Lagos State.
The event of the day was solemnisation of Holy Matrimony between a Pilot,Oluwaseun Kayode Adedeji and Oluwatoyosi Onabanjo,who is a Chartered Accountant.
The influential and popularity of the two families from Ilesa, Osun State and Ijebu Ode,Ogun State respectively attracted dignitaries across the globe who came to honour and celebrate the couple.
The family of the pilot husband and chartered accountant wife could not hide their joy, as they witnessed glorious day of their children
The church service was kick-started whit a procession hymn, ” Great is thy Faithfulness”,while order of Service also include,Bible reading from book of Genesis 2;18-25 among others.
The officiating Minister,Pastor Paul Kolawole in his sermon made reference to the Bible with a quote ‘And the Lord God said it is not good that the man should be alone,I will make him an help meet him’
He pointed out that marriage is an honourable status ordained by God Himself and it symbolizes the union between Christ and the church,stressing that Christ sanctioned marriage was evidenced by the fact that he honoured an invitation to a wedding in Cana and Galilee and he performed his first miracle
“Also, Apostle Paul pointed out that marriage should not be rushed into to satisfy the canal lust. It has to be approached with fear of the Lord,duly considering the causes which it was ordained”,he said
The cleric added further that marriage is for mutual fellowship,companionship,help and comfort which husband and wife ought to give to each other in prosperity and adversity.
Similarly,he noted that marriage is to check the sinful life of adultery so that those not gifted to be content can marry and thus keep themselves holy as the body of Christ
‘Thirdly marriage is ordained for the purpose of procreation of children that will be nursed to fear the Lord,abide by the teaching of His word and glorify his Holy name’,he stated
The church thereafter joined the couple in holy matrimony in the presence of the congregation which includes their parents. The husband and wife openly submitted to hold themselves and cleave together for better for worse until death do them apart.
The ceremony was followed with choir ministrations,signing of the marriage register,blessing the couple and presentation to the congregation.
The marriage train and guests thereafter moved to the multi million Lezina event center located at plot 15,Addo road, Lekki Expressway,Ajah,Lagos for the colourful reception. The new couple and their families could not hide their joy as they exhibited their dancing skills to appreciate God
The reception was chaired by Dr Ladi Alakija who educated the couple on the importance and relevance of becoming one family as husband and wife
He guides them on need to love each other with trust and avoid hearsay which may cause distraction.
