When Ego Flies Higher Than_*_*Planes: A Cautionary Tale of KWAM 1*

I had decided initially not to make any comment on this King Wasiu Ayinde, KWAM 1 issue. But seeing this video just sent to me by Yomi Odunuga, i just couldn’t resist doing this.
My first take is that this is not ordinary. In Yoruba parlance, “ Eleyi o kii se oju lasan. Nkan mii wa mbe” And we don’t have to search far to know the “ nkan mii” So, blame it on Baccus , the god of Alcohol. The reason why that “ Small flask” became so important must be the content. The weather is so cold and inside the aircraft would be colder, so , Baba fe dogbon si. After all, nkan ti agbalagba fi n je eko, abe ewe lon gbe.
But, once the airline officials pointed out to King that he couldn’t go in with his precious flask, as A Big man, with connections everywhere ( AN ACCLAIMED FRIEND OF THE PRESIDENT, Governors and all) he should simply have complied and drop the flask as a gift for anyone of them. But again, the content iIS NOT WATER and it’s something fit ONLY FOR THE RICH. Very exotic Cognac.
So, his decisions at this point were something I find difficult to understand. His insistence to go on board and subsequent UNRULY CONDUCT , led to the decision of the airline not to have him on board. One would have also thought that at that point, KWAM1 would beat a retreat, swallow his pride, go back home to nurse his bruised ego.
But no, he then resorted to try to stop a roaring plane with his bare hands! OmG!!! Seriously? Is a plane a Keke NAPEP? No doubt, at this point KWAM1 had lost it, completely.
To say this conduct is REPREHENSIBLE is to say the least. A person of KWAM1 ought to know better and not behave like a TERRORIST. Reading the Aviation Act and the conduct of our man , there is no doubt that a huge crime has been committed.
I hear the FCAA has already declared him a threat to aviation safety and slammed a six month flight ban on him. Good . But that should just be the first step in charging him to court. As an influential person, let him go and test his popularity in court and let his friends in high places help him out. But not to charge him to court will just be one moral burden too much for the system to bear.
If KWAM1 is not charged, the system will bear the opprobrium for a Longtimte to come. And tomorrow, if I’m sufficiently provoked, I can re enact this show. Among the system I am alluding to are THE FRIENDS OF KWAM1 in high places, including and ESPECIALLY, MR PRESIDENT. So to save the face of all concerned, all concerned in the process that will lead to the prosecution of King Wasiu Ayinde must act swiftly to avert this national and INTERNATIONAL EMBARRASSMENT . We have just earned the confidence of the International Aviation authorities , in terms of safety of our aviation industry. We must not allow the conduct of just one DRUNKEN FUJI EXPONENT to take us back to the dark ages
King Wasiu is a man with royal blood in him as The Olori Omooba Akile Ijebuland and right now, in the absence of the Awujale, he is the Acting Awujale. I come from a Royal household and this is not how KINGS OR ROYALS SHOULD BEHAVE.
