West-Erhabor wins Hackers 28 kitty group

Tony West-Erhabor played a net score of 71 on Wednesday to emerge winner at the Hackers 28 Kitty Group golf event held at the Benin club golf section (BCGS), Benin City.

Erhabor, handicap 11 won the kitty group chaired by Chief Lucky Osawaru ahead of Friday Iboi, whose net score of 72 placed him on second spot, while Hon Stephen Idehenre played a net above to settle for third position. Sarafadeen Mahmud won the best gross award with a total of 94 gross.

Speaking at the presentation, the Provost of the group, Hon. Osazuwa Ehiorobo expressed satisfaction at the rapid development of the kitty group since it was created.

He hinted that the group comprised of golfers in the rank of handicap 28, in order to know themselves very well in the game.

“The club allowed the group members to play every Wednesday among ourselves, but in our midst, we have some senior handicap golfers also playing with us to fraternise with one another.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of prizes, as well as entertainment of members.
