Wandering Dumb Girl Found In Ogun

A young dumb girl has been found wandering aimlessly
in Owode-Egba community located in Obafemi-Owode local government area of Ogun State.
The traditional ruler of the community, Olu of Owode, Oba Kolawole Sowemimo made the disclosure known to journalists in Abeokuta, when he brought the victim to Iwe-Iroyin Press Centre,in the town.
Accompanied by a trader,Rukayat Yusuf who discovered the girl, the monarch said efforts to locate the family of the dumb had been an herculean tash,and therefore resolve to bring the development to, the attention of the media .
Oba Sowemimo said ‘I want the media to assist,maybe through report, the family could be located. I am going to hand her over to the government later today. The girl hears what we say,but cannot respond’.
In the same vein, the trader,Rukayat Yusuf who discovered the girl and later took her to the palace, said she was returning from her child school at about 8.00am when she noticed the girl insiide an uncompleted building.
She explained that, after some efforts, she reaised that the victim’s name was Ayisat, adding that all efforts to get more information about her family had been difficult.
Her words ‘I was returning from my child school at about 8.00am when I noticed her inside an uncompleted. On interrogation I observed she is dumb, and all efforts to trace her family proved abortive,so I have to take her to the monarch in the palace’,
