VETERAN MOVIE ACTOR ‘PASTOR AJIDARA’ DIED OF KIDNEY FAILURE
A veteran Nollywood actor and founding leader of Thearter Art and Movie Producers Association of Nigeria,(TAMPAN),Prince Samuel Adesanya popularly called Pastor Ajidara has died of of kidney failure.
The wife, Atinuke Adesanya who confirmed this to our correspondent said,the famous movie artise died in the early hours of Sunday at Mercy Hospital,Onikolobo,Abeokuta where he was receiving dialysis treatment.
It would be recalled that,the family had two days ago called for financial support to the tune of N12million from the public,following Doctor recommendation that,he(Ajidara) would need transplant operation to survive.
Ironically, as at the time of need for N12million for the proposed transplant, Ajidara was being owed the sum of N4million as retiree of Ogun State Judicial. He retired from the service on July 2,2015 but yet to get the payment,as at the time he critically fell ill
The ailment as recalled by the wife during an interview,started shortly after an auto crash in 2012. She said the family breadwinner was on the fateful day going to Sagamu to resume work, when the auto crash occurred and was subsequently admitted at a private hospital,adding that after few days on admission,investigation showed that he started urinating blood.
She added further that, her hubby who is the incumbent Governor of Ogun State Chapter of Tampan until his death, was thereafter refered to Federal Medical Centre,Abeokuta,where he was admitted.
Still recallled,that,the 62 years old theater practitioner after months of medication was discharged and placed on drugs as out-patient,which he was using religiously until February 8,when his health suddenly deteriorated and had to be rushed back to Federal Medical Centre,Abeokuta.
She said,at the hospital, it was a shocking news,when medical examination showed that,the two kidneys had being severely damaged,and has to start dialysis treatment at a private hospital at a cost of N120,000 per session,while this was being carried out thrice in a week
Meanwhile,as at the time of filing this report,symphatizers have beseige the home of the deceased in Abeokuta,to commiserate with the family,while arrangement was ongoing to deposit the corpse in the morgue,in preparatory for final burial.
