TWO KILLED, EIGHT WOUNDED IN OGUN AUTO CRASH

An auto on Monday night  claimed life of two persons and eight others seriously injured in Abule Oko community located in Ewekoro/Ifo axis of Abeokuta-Lagos Expressway.
Confirming the incident, Commander of Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps,(TRACE), Seni Ogunyemi  ‎said the fatal crash occurred at about 8.30pm on the fateful day.
He disclosed on penpushing platform that the accident involved a trailer with registration number BDG 947XR,Mazda bus registration number SMK 800XN and Volkswagen car with registration number KTU 479 AS.
According to Ogunyemi the road traffic accident was caused by the truck driver who was driving against the traffic,resulting in a fatal collusion
He added that,the remains of the dead had being deposited at the morgue of General Hospital,Ifo, while those injured also been attended to as at the time of this report.
In a related development, Federal Road Safety Commission,FRSC, Ogun State Command said the traffic crash update in Mowe/Asese axis of Lagos-Ibadan was been attended.
It would be recalled that, ‎an accident occured on the road at about 3.00am on Tuesday involving a white colour trailer registration number BDG 801XD and another truck registration number XA 198ZUR.
The Sector Commander, Clement Oladele in his post on penpushing platform,  said  vehicle coming outward Lagos hit the one going inward,breaking the barrier and obstructing vehicles on the highway,but no casualty recorded
 Oladele on the traffic crash update he gave  said,the involved vehicles had been removed and normalcy returned,adding that it would take sometime to ease out due to traffic backlog
‘The obstructions (crashed vehicles) along the Lagos- Ibadan expressway by Mowe around Asese   has been removed, opened barrier replaced and normalcy returned to the road’,he said.
‘However, there is still heavy traffic which may take sometime to ease  out due to traffic backlog caused by the incidence. Motorists should drive with caution as FRSC and other traffic agencies still at the scene managing traffic’,Oladele said
