TWO DWARFS,MOTHER,DAUGHTER ARRESTED FOR OPERATING DRUGS CARTEL
Two female dwarfs Mulika Alaba and Olamide Saliu have been arrested by Ogun State Police Command for alleged dealing and running an Indian hemp cartel.
The suspects, a mother and daughter were smoked out from their hideouts at Awa-Ijebu,Ijebu-Ode local government area of the state, by a team of operatives from Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad,FSARS.
The Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Ilyasu who paraded the suspects alongside other 48 suspected criminals for various offences said the Indian hemp family were arrested on August 5,following a tip off.
‘On 5/8/2017,at about 1000hrs information received about the hideout of some group of people who trade in weeds suspected to be Indian Hemp,a tea of operatives from FSARS raided their hideoout and arrested two among the sellers’,he said.
The Commissioner in a related development paraded harvest of suspects arrested for offences which included; murder,ritual killings,cultism,robbery,impersonation,vandals,burglar and kidnap.
Ilyasu said number of dangerous weapons which include charms,guns among others were recovered from the suspects,adding that,looted and stolen goods were also recovered from them.
The police boss,explained that the command in bid to suppress and curtail the act of kidnapping,robbery,cultism and other criminal elements,tactical and covert deployment of operatives from FSARS,PMF,conventional policemen,intelligence unit and anti-kidnapping/cultism units have been deployed across the lenght and breadth of Ogun State.
He emphasised that,machineries have been put in place to tackle criminals and their activities in the stae,boasting that,’our war against crime and criminalities in the state has produce results’
