Tricycles operators: Stay away from unapproved routes– Edo government warns

Operators of tricycles who ply unapproved routes have been directed to return their business to the roads and streets approved for them by Edo State government to avoid been sanctioned.
Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on Media and Communication Strategy, Crusoe Osagie stated this in Benin City, the state capital, on Thursday.
Osagie noted “Government observed that some tricycle operators, popularly called Keke, carry out their business in restricted areas, and on major roads, thereby contravening government’s policy on where these tricycles should operate.
“The state government frowns at the flagrant disregard for laid down rules and policies and warned that further violations will be met with severe sanctions.”
He hereby urged tricycles operators to conduct their business in areas approved for them by the government.
