Tinubu reinstate sacked DG, NTA, Salihu Dembos

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the reinstatement of Mr. Salihu Abdullahi Dembos as Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), after a brief departure due to recent management reshuffles within the organisation.

Originally appointed by President Tinubu in October 2023, Dembos is now set to resume his role and complete the remainder of his three-year term.

In a similar move, the President also directed the return of Mr. Ayo Adewuyi, Executive Director of News, to continue his tenure until it concludes in 2027. Adewuyi had been appointed to the position in 2024.

This directive nullifies earlier announcements regarding new appointments to the positions of director-general, executive director of news, executive director of marketing, and managing director of NTA Enterprises.
