Tinubu Praises Fintiri’s Projects, Hails Ribadu’s Security Leadership
President has assured Nigerians that his administration will sustain ongoing economic reforms to deliver greater prosperity, with increased focus on inclusion and citizen empowerment.
The President gave the assurance on Monday during a one-day official visit to , , where he commissioned key projects executed by Governor .
Tinubu expressed satisfaction that the administration’s reforms are yielding steady results nationwide, particularly in education, healthcare, and infrastructure. He noted that the repositioning of the economy through “the right policies” has enabled increased allocations to states, empowering them to execute projects that directly impact citizens’ livelihoods.
“That is the consequence of us working together, and we will achieve more macroeconomic successes. We are investing heavily in agriculture and human capital development. We must be able to feed ourselves and feed the country,” the President said.
He praised Governor Fintiri for what he described as tremendous renewal and commitment to education and infrastructure development in Adamawa, saying the governor’s performance reflects “a government of the people, by the people and for the people.”
Among the projects commissioned were an eight-lane road with an underpass designed to ease mobility and stimulate commerce, a modern High Court complex to strengthen the administration of justice, and a model school—part of 21 built across the state’s local government areas.
President Tinubu urged state governments to channel more resources into poverty reduction, particularly through improved access to quality education. He also thanked traditional and religious leaders in the state for maintaining peace and unity despite economic and political challenges.
The President commended the National Security Adviser, , describing him as honest, bold, and courageous. “With you, we will defeat the bandits and terrorists,” he said.
In his remarks, Governor Fintiri thanked the President for honouring the invitation to commission the projects, detailing their costs: N24.8 billion for the model school initiative; N15.6 billion for the expanded Galadima Aminu Road with overhead bridge and dualised Gimba Road; N5.5 billion for the remodelled State High Court Complex; and N6.3 billion for the new Government House office complex.
Fintiri reaffirmed the state’s support for the President’s reforms, describing them as laudable and necessary for national progress.
Five governors attended the event, including of Taraba State; of Borno State; of Plateau State; of Gombe State; and of Yobe State, alongside ministers and other top government officials.
